Kristin Glißmann, born in 1969, is a passionated percussionist since 1998 and works as a teacher for djembé and doundouns (traditional westafrican drums of the Mandingue people) in Marburg, in the middle of Germany. Kristins facination or the djembé started in the lessons with Conny Kadia (who now lives and teaches in Portugal). Meanwhile Kristin is a student of the djembémasters Mamady Keita and Billy Nankouma Konaté (both from Guinea) for several years.

In January 2002 took over the djembé school "la percussion" from Conny Kadia. She teaches djembé and doundoun in weekly courses and workshops for beginners, intermediates and advanced students. When she is on stage with "Kimba Djembé Orchestra" (students of the weekly courses) you feel that she infects the student by  her own enthusiasm.

Beside her own courses and workshops Kristin orgnizes workshops with Billy Nankouma Konaté in Marburg and weekends with the other teacher of "la percussion" (conga, didgeridoo, guitar, percussion for kids).

You can see her on stage with

Moonaway - rocking guitar and vocals accompanied by percussion and didgeridoo
